The VanCity Ice Raiders Spring Hockey Team develops young players eager to advance their skills, teamwork, and hockey IQ. With elite coaching, we provide a challenging season to help players grow on and off the ice and compete at higher levels.
About VanCity Ice Raiders
Skill Development and Training
At the core of the VanCity Ice Raiders program is a commitment to skill development. We design practices and training sessions to emphasize speed, agility, stickhandling, and hockey intelligence, ensuring that players develop a versatile skill set. Our coaching staff, with years of experience and a dedication to each player’s growth, focuses on refining fundamental skills while challenging players to go beyond their comfort zones. Specialized training clinics and drills, along with detailed feedback, allow players to focus on improving areas that are crucial to their development. Each team will receive 20 practices (10 skills development, 10 team practices).
Competitive Gameplay and Tournament Exposure
In addition to skill development, the Ice Raiders emphasize competitive play. Our season includes participation in a minimum of 2 high-level tournaments and exhibition games that test our players’ abilities and offer them exposure to different styles of play. Facing strong opponents from other regions provides valuable experience, helping players adapt to various in-game situations, refine their decision-making under pressure, and learn resilience. These experiences are designed to simulate higher levels of competition, which is key for players aiming to progress in their hockey careers.
